"Freedom Not Fear" Campaign
The international action day "Freedom not Fear" will be marked in as
many European capital cities as possible and elsewhere around the world
to demonstrate against the total retention of telecommunication data
and other instruments of surveillance.

This Wednesday, SpodeliKino will generously provide an opportunity for
a brief presentation on the occasion of the Document Freedom Day by
Free Software Macedonia within the frames of SpodeliZnaenje.
This event, initiated by the Free Software Foundation Europe, will be held on the 26th of March, 2008 in quite a few countries throughout the world. The goal is to raise the awareness about the use of open standards and documents that could be used on any platform and any time.
Document freedom is the use of open formats for writing documents based on open standards; as a result your data always remains under your control and you are avoiding proprietary lock-in.
Agenda for the upcoming event:
- Introducing Document Freedom Day
- Presentation (What are open documents? Why do I need them? How can I get them?
- Practical examples from our e-everyday life - dealing with proprietary format documents, how to circumvent the restricted standards and much more
- Q & A
The event will take place in the Cultural Centre "Tochka" on the 26th of March, 20:00 hrs.
