J. C. Mohanty, Principal Secretary, Department of ICT of Indian state Andhra Pradesh, in the interview with CIOL said that the country is determined to be No.1 IT state in the world. The announced Information Technology and Communications Policy 2004 is expected to give a road map for the state in the next 4-5 years. In addition, the new policy is expected to facelift the state in the area of software exports and human resource capital development.
In the interview he talks about prime objective of the new IT policy, about their concerns in software exports, the expected demand for manpower and infrastructure, and the strategy for e-governance.
