German teenager Sven Jaschen has pleaded guilty to creating the Sasser computer virus
German teenager Sven Jaschen has pleaded guilty to creating the Sasser computer virus that has devastated thousands of computers around the world.
Jaschen, who is also suspected of creating the Netsky virus, will be sentenced later this week.
He is on trial in the city of Verden where he faces charges of computer sabotage, data manipulation, and disruption of public systems.
The charges carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison but Jachsen being minor at the time of his arrest (17) is expected to face lesser penalty, a warning or some form of public service work, but also confinement in a juvenile detention center.
