Macedonian team of young informatics technicians continue to win medals at regional and international competitions in informatics. Young Nikola Postolov won bronze medal for Macedonia at the 13th Balkan Olympiad in Informatics held on Rhodes Island, Greece from 3rd to 8th of September, 2005. With 300 points among 28 contestants Postolov confirmed the successful results at the previous international competitions. Nikola Postolov won bronze at XV IOI2003 held in Wisconsin, Kenosha, USA and bronze at the II BOI2004 held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.


Alen Stojanov, Andrej Ristovski and Dimitar Mishev were other members of Macedonian team that was supported by the mobile operator Cosmofon.

The competition consisted of two rounds in two days. In both rounds the working time was five hours and the contestants were given one to four problems to solve. The problems had to be solved in programming languages Pascal, C and C++. Our most successful contestant was Nikola Postolov who won 40+170=210 points (out of 600) and Bojan Kostadinov who won 165+22=187 points. They were both very close to winning bronze medal.
