Metamorphosis is an independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit foundation based in Skopje, Macedonia. Its main goals are development of democracy and prosperity by promoting knowledge-based economy and information society.
The Тhird Install Fest 2006 organised by the Free Software Macedonia will took place in the Public Technique premises in Skopje this weekend (April 15-16) from 11:00 to 21:00. Apart from installing free software the visitors can attend lectures, participate in workshops, discussions and more.
Install fest is an event organised for mass installation of free OS GNU/Linux. Visitors should bring their computers and will receive on-sight expert assistance on installing free OS provided by experienced and advanced users. Apart from installing free oS, visitors will have the chance to copy free software CDs.
Afternoons are reserved for workshops on web-based applications development with free web platforms, free and open source software localisation and presentation of the work of Macedonian Wikipedia team.
In the evenings there will be panel discussions on free software and software patents, copyrights and intellectual property and implications for each citizen living in the information society.
