“IT sector in Macedonia is maybe the most compatible with the IT sector in Europe and in the world,” said Jani Makraduli, president of the Committee for Information Technology within the Government, at the SEEITA Conference and MASIT Open Days.
He noted that Macedonia has achieved index of 35.7 in the past few months compared to the previous index of 7 for ICT usage.
“Macedonia has shown that it is capable of making relatively big leap in implementation of modern technologies and ICT,” said Makraduli.
Starting form yesterday the Government use electronic communication with the ministries. Bank transfers and pension fund payments can also be performed electronically, MIA reported.
According to Makraduli the internet price is not crucial issue if its advantages for money and time savings are taken into consideration. He thinks that cheaper internet can be reached with bigger competition between the operators and with greater number of users.
