SCO may begin suing Linux end users, relying on Section 1202 of the DMCA, which forbids stripping off copyright notices, which SCO claims are missing from some header files in which it alleges to own copyright.  

SCO's ability to assert its rights under Section 1202 will depend on whether it can show that it does own copyright to the header files and that header files are copyrightable in the first place. 

It would also be difficult for SCO to show that the copyright notices were removed intentionally.
