Commission for free access to information will become operational from September. Since this autumn the citizens can refer to the Commission if they think that their right to obtain information from the institution is violated. On May 11, 2006 the Commission had constitutive session and promoted its work. Members of the Commission will be part of the employees of the Agency of Information that will cease to exist. The remaining employees of the Agency will be additionally allocated.
Janko Nikolovski, head of sector in the Agency of information until this time, has been appointed president of the Commission while Hajrula Misini, deputy in the Agency until now, has been appointed deputy of the commission. Other members of the Commission are Ljubica Stanojovska and Olga peshevska, former Agency of Information employees, and Zhaneta Trajkoska, director of Macedonian Institute for Media, as external member.
