Story About Macedonia hit on the internet
Video file with Macedonian archeologist Pasko Kuzman which is part of the story about Macedonia published at Exploring Macedonia and the search engine Yahoo! was seen by 500.000 internet users just for one day which is the biggest Yahoo! record noticed so far. The story about Macedonia since the publishing as part of the Yahoo! Adventures and Exploring Macedonia was visited by about 2 million readers, announced USAID’s office in Skopje that helped the launching of the National tourism portal.
On July 26, 2006, just for one day, immediately after the publishing, video file published on the Yahoo!’s front page had over one million downloads.
Immediately after the publishing, and especially after setting the new Yahoo! record for visits per day, Exploring Macedonia team was contacted by great number of tour operators from Belgium, England, Turkey and Austria. They asked permission to use the content published at the web-site with story about Macedonia in order to promote tourist package for Macedonia, USAID announced.
After the big interest and number of visits the story about Macedonia can still be seen at the popular Yahoo! Adventures website.
