On January 26, 2007 assessment of Macedonia’s good governance potential team organized one-day workshop for way of conducting the survey on needs of IT trainings for civil servants, which is the activity from the Agreement for cooperation signed between Foundation Open Society Institute – Macedonia (FOSIM) and Government of Republic of Macedonia.
Aim of the survey is to determine the needs of IT trainings for 8.000 civil servants. The needs assessment will be oriented towards General Secretariat and Civil Servants Agency for setting priorities for ICT training, module design, training time scheduling, as well as harmonization of resource with the foreign resources.
Participants at the workshop were focal representatives of 10 ministries, Directorate for protection and saving, State geodetical directorate, State archives of the Republic of Macedonia, Service for general and common matters within the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, and Judicial secretariat.
Results of the survey as well as recommendations for further policy making towards strengthening IT capacities of the civil servants will be submitted to the General secretariat and all state institutions that participated in the survey.
