 FOSIM’s law program, Ministry of justice
and Metamorphosis Foundation organized debate on first draft version of
the ICT strategy for the judiciary prepared by Metamorphosis Foundation in the British Council in Skopje on
February 15, 2007.
Sasho Vasilevski, deputy minister of justice of the Republic of
Macedonia opened the debate, while Nikola Memov, representative of the
Ministry of Justice moderated the debate. Zoran Janevski, the author of
the strategy, presented the ICT strategy which represents the
intentions of the Ministry of Justice and the other institutions of the
judiciary system in the Republic of Macedonia regarding the application
of ICT in the period between 2007 and 2010.
Representatives of Ministry of Justice, Supreme Court, Public
Prosecutor’s Office, Court Council, primary courts, Penitentiary
system, Academy for judges, as well as representatives of the business
sector participated in the debate.
The debate produced concrete advices and suggestions which will be incorporated in the next version of the strategy.
